April 1 marks a milestone: Apple turns 50. Half a century after Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne signed the papers in a California garage, Apple has become one of the most valuable companies on Earth — and one of the most design-obsessed in history.
And lucky for gear fans, some of its brilliant products inspired other companies to make some great retro-futuristic Apple accessories.

Best vintage-inspired Apple accessories
From the boxy beige Macintosh 128K that introduced millions to the graphical user interface in 1984, to the translucent, candy-colored iMac that fueled Apple’s late-’90s renaissance, to the click-wheel iPod that put a thousand songs in your pocket, the company’s legacy is inseparable from the objects it made over the past five decades.
Apple created a design language all its own — one that certain third-party accessory makers mine brilliantly.
Brands like Spigen and Elago have built entire product lines that pay tribute to those iconic machines while outfitting the Apple devices of today: iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch and more. And this new wave of vintage Apple accessories is the best kind of nostalgia — functional, affordable and absolutely guaranteed to start a conversation.
1. tinyPod Apple Watch Case — $29.99 or $79.99 (Apple Watch Series 4 through 9, SE and Ultra)

Photo: tinyPod
The most audacious Apple nostalgia product on this list is a case that turns your Apple Watch into a functional iPod. The tinyPod is a silicone housing that fits snugly around an Apple Watch without its band. Pop the watch in, and the whole thing looks unmistakably like an iPod — right down to the form factor, the rounded rectangle body and, in the full version, a physical scroll wheel that actually works. Through mechanized components inside, rotating the wheel makes direct contact with Apple Watch’s Digital Crown. That lets you scroll through apps, adjust volume and navigate watchOS exactly as you would have scrolled an old iPod click wheel.
Paired with a cellular Apple Watch and AirPods, tinyPod lets you leave your iPhone at home while still being able to call, message and stream music. The full scroll wheel version is $79.99; a simpler tinyPod Lite (case only, no wheel) is $29.99.
This little Apple Watch case that looks like an iPod is one of the most talked about retro-futuristic Apple accessories in recent years.
- Turns Apple Watch into iPod
- Call, message and stream music (even without iPhone
- Only the priciest version includes working scroll wheel
- You can't wear your watch whilie using the case (no strap)
2. Caseology Folder Pop MagSafe Wallet — from $23.99 (MagSafe iPhone 12 and newer)

Photo: Spigen
Caseology — a California-based brand owned by Spigen — took a different approach to Apple nostalgia. Rather than referencing a physical piece of hardware, the Folder Pop MagSafe Wallet pays tribute to Apple’s software iconography. Specifically, it refers to the iconic blue folder icon that has lived in the macOS Dock for more than two decades.
Released to celebrate Caseology’s 10th anniversary, the collection comes in four variations — three styled after different versions of the macOS folder icon, including a rainbow-stripe design that harkens back to Apple’s original multicolored logo. The wallets are made from vegan leather, hold up to three cards, and attach magnetically to any MagSafe iPhone via a silicone-textured non-slip backing.
This MagSafe Wallet for iPhone that looks like macOS's iconic Folder holds three cards. Compatible with iPhone 17/16/15/14/13/12 models and Pixel 10.

3. Elago W3 Apple Watch Charging Stand — $13 to $15 (all Apple Watch models)
Elago’s little W3 stand is one of the most delightful Apple accessories ever made. It’s a bedside Apple Watch charging stand shaped exactly like the original Macintosh 128K. You slide your own Apple Watch charging puck into the slot and place the watch in the top.
In nightstand mode, the watch face sits perfectly in the “screen” position of the miniature Mac. The front features a faux floppy drive. At night, the green charging glow perfectly mimics the phosphor tint of a 1984 CRT. Made from soft, scratch-free silicone in both white and black versions, it’s compatible with every Apple Watch. See the full Elago Retro Collection at Elago.com.
This adorable Classic Mac stand for your wearable works with Apple Watch Series 11/10/9/8/SE3/SE2/7/6/SE/5/4/3/2/1 (46mm, 45mm, 44mm, 42mm, 41mm, 40mm, 38mm). And it's compatible with Nightstand Mode. Comes in white or black.

4. Elago AW3 AirPods Case (Macintosh-style) — $13

Photo: Elago
Elago’s natural next step after the W3 Apple Watch stand was to bring the same Macintosh 128K treatment to AirPods — resulting in the AW3 . This soft silicone case wraps your AirPods charging case in the unmistakable form of the original Mac: boxy, beige, with a tiny floppy drive slot and the word “hello” in classic script on the front “screen.”
The attention to scale is impressive. The case supports both wired and wireless charging with the LED visible through the front cutout. Versions work with original AirPods (first- and second-gen) and AirPods Pro.

5. Elago AW6 AirPods Case (iPod Classic-style for AirPods 1/2 or AirPods Pro) — $12 to $17

Photo: Elago
Not all retro-Apple nostalgia has to go back to 1984. Elago’s AW6 case celebrates the iPod Classic, Apple’s most beloved pre-iPhone product. It wraps your AirPods charging case in a silicone shell that faithfully reproduces the lower half of the click-wheel player. It comes complete with a molded click wheel on the front, a hold switch on top and even the subtle button textures.
Available in white and black (with a red click wheel on the black version, a nod to the U2 Special Edition iPod), it captures the essence of the device that made Apple a cultural force in the early 2000s. The hingeless design allows full access to all functions, including wireless charging. A small carabiner comes with some versions for easy carrying.

6. Elago Cassette Tape AirPods Pro 3 Case — $16 to $18 (AirPods Pro 3)

Photo: Elago
Elago’s retro sensibility extends beyond the Apple canon. The Cassette Tape case for AirPods Pro 3 is a charming nod to the format that preceded the iPod’s era — the humble cassette tape, with its magnetic ribbon window, molded screw accents and classic indent lines faithfully reproduced in premium silicone. It comes in multiple colors and includes a carabiner for easy attachment to bags or keychains. The USB-C port and wireless charging remain fully accessible. With physical media nostalgia running high — vinyl records outsell CDs, cassette sales are up — this case hits the sweet spot between retro charm and everyday practicality.

7. Spigen Classic LS MagFit iPhone Case — $39.99 (iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max)

Photo: Spigen
Spigen made sure to celebrate Apple’s 50th properly. The Classic LS is a love letter to the Macintosh 128K and the Apple Lisa. The warm beige “Stone” finish faithfully mimics the off-white plastic of early Apple hardware. And the details are extraordinary: a faux floppy disk slot accent on the back, a reimagined Spigen logo rendered in the classic six-color rainbow stripe and side buttons molded to look like the chunky keycaps of a vintage Mac keyboard — including a power button engraved with the word “Hello” in flowing cursive. The case is built from a durable PC/TPU blend with military-grade drop protection, MagSafe compatibility and a touch-sensitive Camera Control cover.
8. Spigen Classic LS AirPods Pro 3 Case — $24.99 (AirPods Pro 3)

Photo: Spigen
This might be Spigen’s most clever accessory. The Classic LS AirPods Pro 3 Case is designed to look like the original Macintosh mouse — that iconic rectangular beige puck with the single button. And the designers actually made it functional as a design metaphor.
The “mouse button” on top is not decorative; it’s a real locking mechanism that snaps the case shut and keeps your AirPods from tumbling out if you drop the case. The LED indicator mimics the power light on the original mouse. The case supports wireless charging, features a USB-C cutout at the bottom, and includes a lanyard in a platinum color evoking Mac OS’s “Classic” era. Air Cushion Technology adds drop protection.
Clever design makes this AirPods Pro 3 Case cover look like an old-school Macintosh mouse.
9. Spigen Classic LS MagFit Card Wallet — $29.99

Photo: Spigen
The Classic LS wallet might make a cashier look twice. Its exterior is lined with the same retro detail language as the iPhone case — floppy-disk slot accents, vintage keyboard texturing, a rainbow-stripe Spigen logo — so it looks like a miniature piece of early Apple computing equipment attached to the back of your phone.
Under the hood, it’s a fully functional MagSafe card holder that secures up to three cards via strong silicone-coated magnets, with an open cutout at the bottom for easy card access. Compatible with any MagSafe iPhone from the 12 onward, it pairs perfectly with the Classic LS case but looks fantastic on its own, too.
This nostalgic MagSafe-compatible wallet for iPhone looks like a classic Macintosh. Compatible with iPhone 17/16/15/14/13/12 and Pixel 10.
10. Spigen Classic C1 MagFit iPhone Case — from $29.99 (iPhone 15, 16 and 17 models)

Photo: Spigen
Before the LS, there was the C1 — the case that put Spigen on the retro-Apple map and remains one of the best-selling nostalgia accessories ever made. Inspired by iMac G3, Apple’s electric 1998 comeback machine designed by Jony Ive, the Classic C1 wraps your iPhone in translucent tinted plastic in the exact colors of the original computer: Bondi blue, tangerine, graphite and ruby.
You can literally see through the case to the phone beneath — just as the original iMac let you peer into its colorful insides. Military-grade drop protection and MagSafe compatibility are built in. The C1 is available for iPhones 15, 16 and 17 models, so nearly every recent iPhone owner can put a piece of that 1998 magic in their pocket.
This retro-cool MagSafe case for iPhone 17 Pro models hearkens back to the classic, colorful iMac G3.

11. Spigen Classic C1 Apple Watch Charger Stand — $19.99 to $34.99 (Apple Watch Series 4 and newer, Ultra)

Photo: Spigen
This one takes even more inspiration from the iMac G3 than others. Where the C1 iPhone cases borrow color and translucency, this Apple Watch charger stand actually replicates the silhouette of the 1998 all-in-one computer, complete with the curved CRT monitor profile, a simulated disk drive on the front and two tiny control buttons.
You drop your Apple Watch charging puck into the “screen” area, and it becomes the display of this perfect little iMac replica. The cable routes out the back for a clean look. It comes in all four classic G3 colors, charges every Apple Watch from Series 4 through the Ultra 2, and can also charge AirPods Pro 2 on the side tray.
Designed for Apple Watch, this charger stand is a mini replica of the classic iMac G3, including the translucent color choices. Compatible with Ultra 2/1 49mm, Series 10 46/42mm, 9/8/7 45/41mm, SE2/SE/6/5/4 44/40mm.

12. Spigen Classic C1 Mac Mini Case — $32.99 (Mac mini M4/M4 Pro)

Photo: Spigen
The C1 collection even includes a case for the 2024 Mac mini M4, encasing Apple’s latest compact desktop in that signature translucent iMac G3 shell — making it look like a spiritual successor to the Power Mac G4 Cube.
The PMMA acrylic and PVC case features side grilles that echo the G4 Cube’s ventilation design and improve actual airflow. A built-in PVC dust filter keeps things clean, a transparent base raises the Mac mini for additional bottom ventilation, and antislip silicone prevents desk-sliding when plugging in cables. All ports remain fully accessible.
Yes, even your M4/M4 Pro Mac mini can look more like iMac G3 or Power Mac G4 with this colorful transparent case and stand. Comes in Bondi blue or tangerine colors.
